OCULUS is built upon the complementary skills of all its partners, thus distribution of tasks and responsibilities is aligned with the expertise of each participant, making the best use of resources within the project.
The goals of OCULUS will be achieved by benchmarking the optometric programmes in India and Israel (WP1) and by developing and piloting pedagogic resources (WP 2), following a quality plan (WP3), disseminating the project outputs (WP4) and with proper management (WP5). These WPs have been divided into 13 Sub-WPs, with a leader from each HEI to ensure that each HEI participant has ownership of activities and outputs within the project. Typically, the WP aligns with the HEI’s skill set. For partner country participants, the WP includes areas in which the HEI’s needs are being met.
